Dallas Family Access Network (Dallas FAN) is a Ryan White CARE Act program of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department Of Pediatrics, Division of Infectious Diseases. Dallas FAN provides coordinated medical and social support services and access to research for HIV positive women, infants, children, youth and their affected family members.

Partner Coordination and Collaboration
Dallas FAN provides a comprehensive system of Communication, Access, Resources and Education (C.A.R.E.) for network agencies by facilitating coordination and collaboration between partners. The program monitors the impact of services in the community and the psychosocial factors inherent to those affected by HIV. Dallas FAN uses a multidisciplinary approach which incorporates diverse community of agencies and programs to create a seamless system of services reaching the target population.
A Seamless System Of Services
Dallas FAN consists of community agencies that offer a broad array of services. The overarching goal is to:
- Deliver high quality health care and social services to women, infants, children, and youth that retains them in medical care.
- Offer family-centered supportive care.
- Involve consumers in the network and in their care.
Dallas FAN Women's Enrichment Program (WEP): Journey To Self Discovery
The Dallas FAN WEP course is designed to help positive women discover their hidden talents and skills to begin their journey to living a healthier life. This program is designed to explore all areas that make up a healthy balanced person including the mind, body, heart and spirit of each individual woman. The goal of this program is to help empower women to make better choices in their everyday lives that lead to positive results and outcomes.
